HSBC is proud to be working with 10,000 Black Interns – a charity dedicated to promoting opportunities to Black Heritage students and Graduates by providing them access to paid internships from companies across 25+ sectors.
As an international bank, we value difference, with people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences helping us serve our diverse customer base. Together with 10,000 Black Interns, we are helping students explore a range of opportunities across HSBC – demystifying the banking world and opening up opportunities for a career within the financial services sector.
Through the continued growth of the company and thesuccess of a number of students securing places on our graduate programmes, HSBC have increased their pledge to 50 interns in 2023 hoping to nurture and continue the support of Black Heritage talent. These internships are for students in their penultimate year of study, run in the summer for between 8-10 weeks, and give candidates the chance to gain valuablepaid work experience in one of our UK based head offices.There are a range of opportunities available – from Corporateand Investment Banking, the more technology driven Digital Business Services to Commercial Banking, Asset Management or Human Resources.
We also offer an initiative called Head Start, a 9-day hybrid programme that gives candidates the opportunity to learn about all core business lines within HSBC through a series of 4 virtual workshop days, before an in-person work experience week that takes place in one of our UK head offices.
