In this exclusive episode, Josh Krichefski, Global COO & EMEA CEO at MediaCom, talks to Neil Wirasinha, Head of Media at Universal Pictures International.
Cinema’s appeal is so much broader than a physical, on-screen viewing, and for Wirasinha there’s nothing quite like that cinematic experience. Despite the disruption caused by a global pandemic, Wirasinha is grateful for this time to differentiate the business. Universal has reacted promptly to alter business plans and reform the working environment for their employees. “As a people business, we should not lose sight of who and what really matters”, said Wirasinha, a sentiment echoed by Krichefski who acknowledged people as MediaCom’s greatest asset.
Wirasinha continued by adding how a greater number of people are watching more long-form content and that social is increasingly becoming an important avenue for discovery, especially for the millennial and Gen-Z audiences. Data was a topic both agreed will be essential to how audiences will continue to be served with the content they desire. Finally, both Krichefski and Wirasinha discussed the role we all play in establishing inclusive cultures at work and in society, including some of the ways that people and businesses can go about change.
