Jamie Hodge – Financial Support Department Manager, Retail Banking & Wealth Management
“I’m committed to advocating for diversity and inclusion within HSBC.”
“I’ve been with HSBC for fourteen years, and it’s been quite a journey. My initial interest in the bank was driven by a desire to gain experience in the financial sector while pursuing my law studies. However, as time went on, I discovered a deep passion for supporting others and making a positive impact within the organisation.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is the opportunity to mentor and develop my team members. I take great pride in seeing them grow and succeed, and I’m always eager to share my experiences and knowledge to help them reach their full potential.
I’m also committed to advocating for diversity and inclusion within HSBC. My involvement in the Wealth & Personal Banking (WPB) Ethnicity Programme has given me a platform to raise awareness, drive change, and ensure that black and ethnic minority employees have equal opportunities for advancement.
Throughout my career at HSBC, I’ve learned the importance of discipline, self-determination, and commitment. These qualities have been essential in my professional growth and have helped me overcome challenges along the way. I’ve also gained a deep understanding of the importance of empathy and understanding the perspectives of others.
As I look to the future, I’m excited to continue my career at HSBC and contribute to the bank’s ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace. I believe that my experience, knowledge, and passion can make a significant difference in helping others achieve their career goals.
I believe that my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and share my personal experiences has been instrumental in my success at HSBC. I’ve always been open about my own journey, and I’ve found that my authenticity has helped me build strong relationships and inspire others.”
