At News UK we represent, reflect and reach the nation, telling the stories that matter most. To ensure these stories resonate with as broad an audience as possible, it is essential that our organisation reflects the diversity of the people we reach. Whether through gender, ethnicity, disability, social class or sexuality, we are committed to representing the rich variety of voices that make up our society.
We continue to take positive steps towards attracting and retaining diverse talent.
Since 2020, we have launched 96 two-year-long apprenticeships, and we were the first media brand to partner with Kickstart, creating 52 paid internships for unemployed young people, many of whom went on to permanent employment at News UK.

Our Diversity and Inclusion team work to support the business in its aims, reporting to our Diversity Board, which includes representatives from all parts of our business including The Sun, The Times and Sunday Times, and our News Broadcasting brands including talkSPORT, Times Radio and Virgin Radio.
